“That was unfortunate. It was kind of an interaction with our fans out in front of us,” Jones explained during a radio appearance. “Present was a swarm of Cowboys fans—not New York fans, Cowboys fans. The whole venue was filled with enthusiasm for the Dallas team.”
He further clarified that the signal was entirely accidental, happening amid the excitement following the team’s final touchdown. “I simply put up the wrong digit,” he remarked. “It was inadvertently performed. I’m not kidding. If you want to call it unplanned, you can. But it got resolved pretty quick.”
