An extensive two-month cruise circling the Land Down Under has been cancelled in the wake of the fatal incident of an older woman who was abandoned by the vessel on a remote island.

The passenger had been trekking on the tropical location with shipmates from the Coral Adventurer, but parted ways from the party for a break. The ship left without her and came back after some time after the ship staff discovered the lady was unaccounted for.

A major search operation located her person the next day.

Officials are investigating the event, in coordination with investigators and the medical examiner.

Chief Executive of the voyage organizer stated that guests and staff on the vessel were told that the rest of the voyage had been cancelled due to the "unfortunate death and prior engine troubles".
